Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust:
    1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and powdered sugar.
    2. Add the chilled, cubed butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    3. Stir in the egg yolk and add cold water, one tablespoon at a time, until the dough comes together.
    4. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
